My not so recent escapade to the land of the Swiss.

Late august/early september, i headed out with the family to the good old town of Grindelwald. Situated a good hour and a half from Bern, its a lovely, kind of little town found under the shadow of the north wall of the Eiger. A yearly escape from the UK, its a great photo opportunity, situated in the middle of a network of valleys, fantastic cloud formations bubble up through picturesque glacial valleys offering amazing landscapes. Ive still got a roll of film to develop, but i did shoot some digital stuff while out there, heres some of what i came back with:

This is the view from the apartment balcony, looking straight out across the town and up towards the mountains themselves, one fairly cold morning i woke up, looked out the window, and felt compelled to grab the camera and snap away.

This was taken around 150-200ft from the base of the notorious north wall of the Eiger. The upper reaches of the town are visible below to the left, and you can see across to the Meiringen valley straight through the centre of the image. this was the last photo i ever took with the stock 18-55 Lens, and i was quite surprised that it gave itself a decent send off.

As always, Theres plenty more to be found at my Flickr for now.
